Silver Surfer 2018
The team’s first model following its establishment, designed and manufactured as the Regular Class entry for SAE Aero Design India 2018. The name was derived from the external silver Monokote covering on the model.
It lifted a total weight of 4.8 kg in the flight round of the competition and secured 10th rank in SAE Aero Design India 2018 during the team’s first year of participation.
Key features of the model include:
- High-wing structure
- Tail-dragger landing configuration, providing an increased angle of attack for higher lift generation
- Conventional tail design for ease of manufacturing
- Low empty payload weight
