Silver Surfer
2018
Our first model since team was established. This model was designed and manufactured as our regular class entry for SAE Aero Design India 2018. The name was derived from the external silver monokote covering on the model.
Key features of the model includes
High winger structure
Tail dragger landing configuration for included angle of attack for higher lift generation
Conventional tail design for easier manufacturing
Low empty payload weight
It lifted a total weight of 4.8 kg in the flight round of competition and was able to secure 10th rank in SAE Aero Design India 2018 in our very first year of competition.
Sting Ray
One of the team's experimental projects, it is a Delta wing aircraft and is one of the fastest aircraft designed by the team with speeds reaching upto 108km/hr. Its very aerodynamic design with softer curves for lowering drag.
