Curio
2019
Our regular class entry for SAE Aero Design India 2019 for second consecutive year. One of our innovative designs with highly modular architecture, Curio is a bi-winger or biplane which owing to its design can be flown as a mono winger too. It was named Curio (meaning a rare unusual thing) due to its unique design.
Key features of the model includes
Tapered Bi-Wing configuration
Decreased wing interference due to positive stagger between wings
Tail boom for weight reduction
Stable flight characteristics
Low empty payload weight
Unique twin tail with inverted vertical stabilizers for wake stability
Curio was highly appreciated by the judges because of innovationin design. Team secured 2nd rank in technical presentation for Curio at the competition.
Extra 330
Another experimental projects, Extra 330 is a scaled down model of actual aircraft which is used as a training aircraft pilots because of it's stable flight even at low speeds. It has a low winger aircraft which is sometimes also used in aerobatic competition.
